For the third time, Buhari off to London, via New York President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday afternoon left Abuja on his way to New York City for the United Nations General Assembly in New York. The president left the country after a meeting with governors of Kano, Borno and Sokoto states, at the State House, Abuja. Buhari, according to his Special Adviser on media and publicity, Mr Femi Adesina will make a stop by in London on his way from the UN event. It was not clear however why the president is transiting through London on his way back to Nigeria, as Mr Adesina offered no explanations. Recall however that President Buhari had on two previous occasions went to London for medical treatments. On the first trip, he stayed for about 49 days, and spent 103 days on the second trip, which generated a lot of controversies, leading to protests in Nigeria and London with some Nigerians asking for his resignation.
